Here's some shoes. These are all either shoes I have, shoes I want, or shoes that will go great with just about any kinda fashion sense. Most of them are pretty affordable, but I do tend to splurge when it comes to boots:

Notice a total lack of flip flops or crocs. No man should EVER be caught wearing them.

A couple of suggestions:
ReplyDelete1. Never discount thrifting. I have many shoes I have bought at thrift stores. But what about wear you say? You're absolutely right! Shoes purchased 2nd hand have been broken in to another man's foot, which can lead to pain and problems for you the new owner. Therefore, I always buy shoes that are 1/2 size too largefor me, and then, get inserts. Et voila, the problem is solved. Much cheaper, and sometimes more unique. I've bought everything from Doc wingtips to fluevog Angels at thrift.
2. Consider some different brands, like Fluevog, Gripfast, etc. Someof them accomplish the same things as Docs or TUK's but with a bunch more style. I've got a pair of red "getta grip" grinders that are totally more stylish than red Docs: they've got a cap toe, with a steel reinforced shank and toe, meaning they look pretty beefy. I've got some unknown brand Finnish brothel creepers that are green leopard print, with neon pink piping. Tell me that isn't far more unique than a pair of TUKs...
these were just meant as a primer course, a couple of suggestions for routes to take as far as footwear....as fot the cap toe boots, I used to be big into the look (my steelie Grinders were more hole than sole by the time I parted with them) but as I've deviated further from the standard "punk" style, I've found that soft toe boots just look better, in my opinion.
